Salina for the 4th of July

The entire family went down to Salina for the 4th of July. My parents picked me and the kids up on Tuesday the 3rd to go down. Derek had to work so he couldnt come until the morning of the 4th. When we got there we visited with Grandpa Taylor for a while then went to the Ideal Dairy with Heather and her family. We got ice cream and slushes. It was super yummy!! Then we went back and made cupcakes and did 4th of July projects with the kids. The kids watched movies after dinner to help them calm down. They wanted to jump on Heather and Eric's blow up mattress instead of watch the movie. Finally me and the kids headed upstairs to sleep in one of the rooms. Teagan did not want to sleep in the pack and play so me and both kids slept in the Queen size bed. It was cramped because they both took up half the bed with their crazy sleeping. It was fun to snuggle with the kids though. We woke up on the 4th and went to the park to do the games and races. We let the kids play different games to win little prizes, they had fun fishing for the duckies. Then we did the races. London had a blast and wanted to keep racing. They each got a quarter for racing. It was cute to watch them. Then they had mom and son, daddy and daughter, sister and brother, etc races. It was fun to run in them. After the fun at the park was over we went back to Grandpas to do a family BBQ. It was fun to visit with the family and let the kids play with the cousins they dont get to play with as much as we would like them to see them. After the BBQ we went to the parade. The kids got lots of candy and frisbees. We all waved at Grandpa Taylor as he rode in the parade with the American Legion. We loved having time with my Grandpa Taylor because we dont see him that often. After the parade we headed home so that Derek and I could work the next day. We love spending time with family.
