July 23rd

Today was a super busy day. We wope up and got ready to meet my family in Little Cottonwood Canyon for a family photo shoot. It was way hot but super pretty. I cant wait to see the picutres. After the pictures were over (which of course London wanted to scream for each one) we headed to my moms house for a surprise party for my dad. His job is not super smart and layed him off after 38 years of time with them. He is a brilliant man and no one could ever know or retain as much information as he does. He has worked extremly hard to provide for our family and is an amazing example to me and to my kids. He is the best father and grandfather I could ever ask for. Anyway back to what we did. We let the kids play outside and inside with all the toys while we got the dinner ready. We had a really yummy BBQ thanks to Derek (he grilled all the meat). He is a stud!! After dinner we brought out gifts for my dad. We all wrote letters to him that I put in a pretty leather box. I also made some canvases with pictures of the past 38 years on them for memmories. We also got him a gift card to Barnes and Nobles so that he can get some books to help pass him time. We had a blast with the family and had a wonderful time honoring my dad for his service and showed him how proud we are of him.
